One month after the release of his metalstep single “No End Downfall”, Stereo Raptor is back with this unrelenting tearout dubstep track.

"Gorgonopsid Massacre" features a chaotic war-like intro, bizarre videogame/8-bit melodic motifs, followed by an absolute face-ripping exhibit of dubstep brutality with jazz influences, all ending in a beautiful and sorrowful piano piece representing the sorrow and desolation that follows war.

The main influences for this song were dubstep giants like Space Laces, Marauda and Midnight Tyrannosaurus, while also being influenced by technical death metal bands like Defeated Sanity and Gorguts on musical aspects such as the use of compound meters in some instances, the way cymbals are played throught the song (in a more “realistic” and “human” way) and even the piano section at the end, inspired by the intro of “Condemned to Obscurity” from the album “The Erosion of Sanity”, by Gorguts.
